At a young age, Annelise was drawn to the heaviest chapter books she could get her hands on. Her father would often have to check on her late into the night to make sure she wasn’t staying awake reading…or at times reading in the dark to escape her father’s watchful eye (ultimately unsuccessful).
Through her love of books, Annelise began to find a passion for writing creatively, focusing on short stories. She began her interest of poetry in high school and found it was a wonderful tactic in combating her depression and anxiety. Throughout her college experience, she refined her prose and poetry and now takes pride in how far her writing has come.
Annelise takes passion in her writing and reading, but still takes the time to enjoy her other hobbies of video gaming and painting, and indulges in the coastal outdoors in the form of horseback riding, swimming, and longboarding at sunset.
